Vengeance Leader

When you hear that a so-called leader wants to get even with anyone who ever "crossed him" or was not loyal, you might want to know about Roman Emperor Sulla.

If Sulla greeted someone as he walked around, that person would be allowed to live. Anyone who was not greeted by Sulla was immediately killed by his Praetorian Guard.

After many people were killed, brave senators went to Emperor Sulla and said "we cannot live like this, not knowing who will be killed. Could you at least make a list?"

Emperor Sulla said he would make a list and everyone on the list was killed. But then he made a new list every day...

Next, Emperor Sulla told wealthy people that he would not have them killed if they would put him in their will. He had them killed anyway but it made it easier for him to add to his wealth.

Vengeance Leaders need loyal followers, enablers, and accomplices to wreak vengeance on the "Enemies Within", especially if there are millions of them!

Sometimes, a Vengeance Leader has to get voted into power (USING A SALES JOB).

During your sales job training, you might hear "YOU MUST USE THE RIGHT WORDS TO MAKE THE SALE... DIDN'T MAKE THE SALE? THEN YOU DIDN'T USE THE RIGHT WORDS!"

Sales training might include the "WOULDN'T IT BE NICE METHOD".

When salespeople say "WOULDN'T IT BE NICE TO:"

Reduce fuel prices by 50% or more
Make food much cheaper right away
get rid of our enemies,
both domestic and foreign, who are the cause of all our troubles
(Add more promises as needed...)

The important thing is to not put any of these sales items into the written contract and hope the customer does not notice!

Vengeance Leaders might create drama to convince people that extreme measures are needed to deal with the "enemies within" (see Hitlers Enabling Act).

IMPORTANT NOTE: When a Vengeance Leader faces the loss of power, they sometimes resort to violent efforts to keep their power, or in the worst case, they might have a "Scorched Earth" policy like Adolph Hitlers' plan to punish and destroy Germany for their failure to deliver...

The fictional story of President Clark in Babylon 5 tells of his scorched earth plan to destroy the entire planet. Maybe someone with nuclear codes could have such a concept of a plan.
