Boom and Bust Cycles
A book somewhere talks about "Old Money" and what it knows and does...
It says that Old Money knows that there is always a boom or bust going on in one or more of the asset classes such as commodities, stocks, and real estate.
Rather that waiting for these cycles to happen, there are "pro-cycle" efforts to create these boom and bust cycles.
Another old time saying is:
One person's hardship is another person's harvest...
